What GlitchX is
GlitchX takes a URL you give it, runs that page through Google PageSpeed Insights, and translates the result into plain language. It's an interpretation of someone else's measurement, not a measurement of our own.
Your account
You sign in with Google. You're responsible for what happens under your account, and you agree not to share it. Your GlitchX ID is chosen once and can't be changed afterwards.
You need to be 13 or older to use GlitchX.
Fair use
Scanning is limited to 25 scans per account per day. That limit exists because every scan costs us a call to Google's API, and one person shouldn't be able to use up everyone else's.
Don't use GlitchX to scan sites you don't own or have permission to test, don't try to work around the rate limit, and don't point it at private or internal addresses. We block the last one automatically.
Accuracy
Scores come from Google's Lighthouse and can vary between runs for reasons that have nothing to do with your site — network conditions, server load, or the time of day. Treat a result as a useful signal, not a verdict. We don't guarantee that acting on a suggestion will produce any particular outcome.
Your scorecards
Scorecards you generate are yours. We don't host them, link to them, or make them public — the image is delivered to you and nothing else. If you post one somewhere, that's your choice and your content.
Availability
GlitchX is free, and provided as-is. We may change or discontinue features, and we don't promise uptime. If Google's API is down, scanning will be too.
Ending things
You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time. We may suspend an account that abuses the service, and we'll say why if you ask.
